I could not wait to color and decorate the new Cuddlebug Cuties digi, Rebecca.
She is just beautiful.  I love the elegance she exudes.
She's the perfect digi for a prom or graduation card.  I just think she is lovely.
Hope everyone is having fun decorating her also.

This card is actually going to be for my daughter.
I made it a flat card vs folded and I intend to add a comment to the blank blue area,

Remember the 80's

Hello Everyone

Does Anyone Remember the 80's Hair
I remember it well, I had it for years.
I found these awesome photos on Pinterest that I just had to show you.

Who knows, it may make a comeback!

Let's start our fashion show with a family photo.

This guy was just to cool.  I had a rule that I never dated guys with better hair than I had.
Hey, a girls gotta have some standards, right?

Ah, the happy prom couple.  Aren't they sweet.

The beautiful Whitney had it going on too.
Of course Whitney looked good no matter what hair she was wearing.
That's just not fair.

Here we have a glamour makeover photo.  How long do you think this do took to achieve?

Even Barbie was an 80's lady

This beautiful young lady probably spent hours and a lot of hair supplies to achieve this look.
Hair like this don't just happen you know.

My daughter had the hair below for a while.
Kinda looks like she got scared and it made her hair stand straight up, huh

This guys hair is just "all that, right? He's just to cool" Right?

I had this glorious hair for a few years.  It really made it hard to find your face sometimes.
When the wind blew it looked like I was caught in a tornado and was going to take flight at any moment.

And let me introduce you to the culprit that caused it all to happen.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, It's Aqua Net, tried and true friend.
This stuff would stick anything together for the hold of a lifetime.
How high can we go!

Well, there you have it folks.  The 80's hair on parade.

All these photos are compliments of Pinterest.
Hope you enjoyed the walk down memory lane.

Hello Out There
Has anybody seen the sun.
I'm snowed in and it's still coming down.  I'm so tired of snow.
I long for sun on my face and warmth in the air.
I want to play outside with Jacob without 10 layers of clothing.
HELP!!!

Oh well, I guess I will have to live with it so Jacob and I made some chocolate loaf with extra chocolate chips and chocolate chip cookies and you all are invited to share them with us.

Do you want coffee or hot chocolate?

Marker Holder

Hello Everyone

If you remember a bit ago I made a small denim bag that I showed you in a post.
I stated in that post that I was working on an insert pouch for the bag.
Well here it is.  I made a pouch for use with alcohol based makers.
This pouch is made to hold markers like Promarkers, Prismas, Copic.
It holds 15 markers, rolls up to go into the bag so you can take it with you.
I've been working on this little kit as a gift.
I'll be telling you more about that in a couple of days.
It turned out pretty well.  Check out my photos below.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hope you all had a creative day.

PS:  I appreciate you all.  Thanks for being you.

Blueberry Breakfast Loaf

Hello Everyone

I wanted to share this little semi-homemade treat with you.
I love blueberries and cake, so what could be more perfect.  This is so simple and your whole house smells wonderful.  I love to cook but my time is limited now with Jacob into everything.  So between kissing owies and cleaning up spills, dirty diapers, torn magazines, milk on the wall, spaghetti in the hair, bed covers pulled to the floor, toilet paper rolls tossed in the toilet, bath water everywhere, toys that I've tripped on, coffee that I spilled, dirt clots that Jacob stuck in his pocket as a "pesant" for mommy, oh sorry, you get the point.  Anyway in my spare time I've had to resort to semi-homemade foods.  So without further ramblings from a tired mommy, here's my creation.

This is so simple.  Take 2 packages of Betty Crocker Blueberry muffin mix, add 1 tablespoon of butter, 1 tablespoon of orange juice and a cup of fresh blueberries.  The orange juice will bring out the fresh sweet taste of the blueberries and the butter adds flavor and texture.  Mix with water and bake for 25 minutes and my family comes sniffing through the house.  Jacob loves this little loaf and I love making it for my favorite little man.

Hope you like it.

Scrapbook Page

Hello Everyone,

I am working on some scrapbook pages and I wanted to introduce you to more of my children.
Please say hello to Graci, Faith and Emma.  These are miniature pinchers who think they are pit bulls.  They are little dogs with big personalities.

Momma Graci is stealthy.  She will sneak up on a visitor before they know she is in their vicinity.  The postman just loves her.

Then we have sweet little Faith.  She is fearless.  She is the smallest of the group and afraid of nothing.  Her favorite game is "kick butt" and she don't care whose butt she is kicking.  We have 3 huge dogs on the hill next to us and they make her so angry when they start whining, she really reads them the riot act.  She's as cute as she can be and she puts her legs around your neck and hugs you.  But as I said, don't let that sweet little puppy act fool ya, pitbull at heart.

Last but certainly not least is Emma.  Emma is like a bull in a china shop.  She's without a doubt the clumsiest dog I've ever seen.  She is just loppy.  She falls over her own feet, falls off the swing for no apparent reason, runs and falls over a twig, basically she is dumber than a bag of rocks and as sweet as candy.  Everybody loves Emma.

Below is my scrapbook page of the girls.  As you can see Emma is camera shy.

Thanks for visiting.
All my best

Cow in a New Dress

Hello Everyone
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Jacob is asleep so I can work on my blog now.
Life around my house is never without something to do.  Whew, I'd forgotten how hard it is taking care of a little one.  I feel as if I run from the time I wake up until he tires out for the night.
I guess that's why we have children in our youth.  I could probably write an entire blog about having children in your middle age.  Of course it is good that I have a full life of knowledge to better care for him and I've been a nurse forever which keeps me from being in the pediatricians office weekly.
Now, I just need a caffeine IV to keep my energy up.  I am drinking about 10 coffee a day now as sleep is no longer an option.  LOL
However I have been working on an Easter present for a sweet little girl.
She loves animals, so I purchased this cute little cow at Walmart and started working on this little ruffled dress for her.  It's far from perfect but I like it anyway.  I've got some more work to do but so far, so good.  I have enough material for a little cap but I'm not sure how to make it yet.
I'll figure something out, I still have time.  It won't be perfect but I think she will like it.
She gave Jacob his first kiss so she won my heart and I have to do something special for her.
Jacob of course pushed her away and said, "Yuck" but she didn't seem to mind.
Hope you like it.

    Denim Bag

    Hello Everyone

Hope you all had a wonderful day.  Mine was full as always.
Jacob has more energy than I know what to do with.
However I've been working on a special project.  I love playing with denim.  I've lived in jeans all my life.  So I guess it's only natural that I like making crafts out of denim.

Below is a little bag/purse that I've been working on.
I've got a special event coming up soon and I wanted to create something for the occasion.
It's actually going to be a gift.

I purchased a new pair of jeans and created the bag from them.
I also like buttons and they make such cute decorations.
The buttons are attached with ric rac to laced trim.
I found some clear plastic handles that I thought went well with it at Joann's.
The little pockets are small for a cell phone or whatever you wanted to carry.

I have a little insert that I'm working on and will post it when I have it completed.

Anyway, I hope you like my little creation.  I'm having fun working on it.

Have a great day or night depending on where you are.

    Bethany Card

    Hello Everyone

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

Jacob is definitely an outside baby, he continually points to the door and wants "out".
With the warm weather arriving it's all I can do to keep him inside.
This isn't bad because I'd stay outside 24 hours a day if it were possible.
I can't wait for spring so I can start planting flowers and playing in the dirt.  Now with Jacob here I will always have a reason for being dirty.  Speaking of being dirty; is there anyone out there with a toddler that can tell me how to keep my cloths clean for more than 20 minutes?
Oh well, that's why they made washing machines.  It's all good.

Now, on to my new Cuddlebug Cutie digi.  I love this little Bethany.  I just went with soft, pale colors for her.  I live in jeans so she was just my sort of girl.  Hope you like her and enjoy coloring her as much as I did.

    Happy Face :)

    Hello Everyone,

I have a story I just have to share with you this morning.

We got up just like always with the dogs barking at the crack of dawn, normal.
We always gather in the kitchen and talk for a few minutes as a family before we begin our hectic day.  Again, just like normal.  So my husband goes to the family room to let the dogs out to do their business and I go to the counter to make coffee for everyone while my oldest daughter goes to the bathroom to do her business.  Nothing unusual here, right?

I have a Keurig so I stand at the counter making everyone their favorite coffee with each favorite creamer flavor.  Sounds nice doesn't it; sitting around chatting with the aroma of your favorite coffee brewing in the air.  Ummm.

So everyone is busy doing whatever they need to do quickly so we can gather again and sip coffee.
For some odd reason I have this bad habit of forgetting to close the fridge door while I'm making coffee, it's like I have a mental block or something for the door.  Anyway, the fridge door is open, and I hear the baby laughing as he is playing in the fridge.  Again, nothing out of the ordinary, I'm standing 3 foot away from him, so no big deal, right.

I'm humming away lost in my own little world in my mind, baby is playing and giggling, life is good.   By the way, I have a big double door fridge with ledges at the bottom large enough for Jacob to sit on them.  Jacob loves to sit on the ledge and kick his feet when the door is open and talk to me about all the treasures he finds in there.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that Jacob is starting to potty train.
He's young but likes to try to do #2 the right way so we brought him a training potty.
I come out of my morning daze and realize Jacob is grunting away instead of giggling now.

Oh, NO.  I turn around and you guessed it.  Jacob is doing #2 on the fridge ledge, and really appeared to be enjoying a good poop, he was wearing his happy face :)
So I can honestly say that this is first for me.  I've never had anybody literally poop in my fridge before.  Life is good!   Needless to say, I will really work on closing the fridge door from now on.
Like I always say, I'm living the dream

    Welcome to my world.

    Celeste Card

    Hello Everyone

How's it going?  It's been a busy day around my house.  Jacob is full of energy and all boy.
At 15 months he's running circles around me.  It's 11pm and he won't go to sleep tonight.  I've tried everything.  He sometimes acts like the energizer bunny and just keeps going and going and going.
He's bound to wind down eventually, right?

I've been trying all day to get this card made.
This is Celeste, my beautiful Cuddlebug Cutie card.
Easter is fast approaching and I really enjoyed playing with Easter accessories while making this card.  I hope you all have downloaded your free digi and are enjoying the endless card making possibilities with it.

I also want to say thanks to all my wonderful followers.  I love blogging and making new friends.  Each one of you is appreciated.

Laugh When You Want To Cry

    Hello Everyone,

The last few years I've worked as a Director of Nursing.  It was snowing here today and I just happened to be sitting at the window.   I was thinking about my old work and I remembered a night last winter.  I received a call around 1:30am from one of my nurses.  She was panicky, stated that a resident had called the police and told them he was being held against his will and that we, the facility, had not let him have any food or water and he was starving.  She proceeded to tell me that police officers were with her at that time and that the building was surrounded by officers and she didn't know what to do. She gave the receiver to an officer and I explained that he was in a memory care ward and that the gentleman in question had severe dementia.  I explained that the patient had repeated the same behavior twice today,  however an officer had called to investigate prior to showing up at the facility.

The officer went to check the patient and came back to the phone and we talked further and the police officers left the facility along with the team of officers that had surrounded the building.  Once that was settled and the nursing staff was also settled down, I went back to sleep thinking this situation was finished and we could move on. Ha!

I woke up at 5am so I called the facility and the phone rang in the memory care unit.  An unfamiliar male voice answered the phone.  You guessed it, it was my little 911 gentleman.  Here however is the best part of the conversation.  I asked him if I could speak to the nurse and his answer was, "there's no nurses here, I'm just answering the phone on my way out" click.

I bolted straight up in my bed and started dialing every extension in the facility till someone answered.  Fortunately the staff got to the gentleman before he could get out of the unit, which was coded, however patients would overhear visitors say the code and would remember and share it. We changed that stupid code 20 times a week sometimes. My nursing staff got a nice, looooong in-service on dealing with the confused patient that calls 911 multiple times.

Sometimes all you can do is laugh.  Life is funny!

    Katie and Kit

    Hello Everyone,

This beautiful little girl is a Cuddlebug Cutie.
I love this little kitty cat, he's so adorable.  I had a lot of fun with coloring this digi.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.
I had some computer issues and had to go purchase a new one last night.
So now my issue is that I'm trying to figure out how to use the new operating system.
I don't know why someone can't invent a computer that is dummy friendly.  Maybe they could call it "Computer for Dummies" and it would talk to you and tell what to do and what keys to push.  And maybe even warn you if you make a mistake.  It could maybe be programed to says something like, "Hey, you, dummy, that's not what you need to do to make that part work!"  Of course this is just me thinking about it.  Maybe everyone else in the world knows everything there is to know about computers.  That's ok with me, maybe someone could just invent a "for Dummy" computer for me.  I'd be cool with that, wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit.

    Have an AWESOME Sunday.
